Elias is 5 months old!

Where is the time going?! Our sweet baby boy is now 5 months old! I can hardly believe that in a month we will be trialing baby cereal and our little man will likely be close to sitting by himself. Elias has changed a lot during his 5 months of life. He is very aware of his surroundings and loves watching his big sister play! He is sitting with support in his bumbo seat and loves laying on his activity mat batting at the toys above. He is a very happy boy and loves to squeal and laugh!
Eli loves his hands! He just stares at them like they are the coolest things around! :)

Is there anything sweeter than baby toes?!

Those eyes just melt my heart!!!!!!!!

Baptism of Elias Paul

Elias Paul was baptised on January 3, 2010 at St. John Vianney catholic church. St. JV is a new church 'home' to us and therefore we were very excited to have Eli baptism here. He was welcomed into the church with lots of family members and friends present. Elias' god parents are his grandpa, Bob Bent and his aunt, Ty Lynch. We know that they both will be great role models to Elias, as he grows in his faith and learns more about god.

We were blessed to have ALL our family (minus great g&g Crabtree) present to witness this joyous event. What a true blessing that was! After the baptism we celebrated the day with lunch at our house.

Elias wore the same baptism gown, as his sister Clara. This gown is special to us because it was hand sewn by grandma Darla. Elias also kept warm by a blanket made by his grandma Toni. How special to be clothed in items that were handmade with love by his grandmas.

Family photos

Over the holiday season we took advantage of the 'Bent' clan being together and got family photos taken. Here are a few from our photo shoot. Let me just say, it was hilarious trying to get 6 kiddos under the age of 4.5 to look at the camera at the same time!

The cousins: (L-R) Isaac Justin (18mo), Ezra Bent (4.5), Caspar Bent (7mo), Clara Lynch (3) holding her brother Elias (3mo), Solomon Bent (3).

We're back!

Wow...the Lynch family definitely dropped off the face of the earth of 'blog world.' I've had a 'draft' from the holidays waiting to be done and well... just never got around to it. We also have misplaced our camera...boo. I've been praying to St. Anthony and being patient for it's return. I sure hope it turns up one of these days.
We had an amazing holiday and were blessed to see all of our family. It was extra special this year celebrating as a family of four. Clara loved loved loved Christmas this year. I think the Christmas spirit was ever so present this year being able to see it through a child's eyes! She is STILL talking about good ole' santy! :)
2010 has been treating us well so far! We continue to be busy with work and family, but love every minute of it! Blair and I decided to run the Indy mini marathon this year, so we are gearing up to start our training. It sure has been interesting trying to juggle family life and an exercise plan. Although there have been challenges, we've found that we both have more energy and less stress with exercising, which has added a more positive attitude around the Lynch home! Always a good thing right?! :)
Elias is now 4 months old and continues to be my little cutie pie! He smiles all the time and is starting to giggle for us! He's also discovered his sis Clara is pretty funny and likes watching and laughing at her. He is starting to give us more sleep with an average of 6 hr span at night. He just had his 4 month check up and is now 14pounds, 30z! Whoohoo Elias!
Clara is busy as always. Her language has just blossomed over the past 6 months and she says the cutest things. We wake every morning to her saying, 'wake up...it's a bootiful day!' She loves all the snow we are getting. Mommy and Clara played in the snow the other day and she initiated a snow ball fight. Little stinker! She is loving school still and is looking forward to her 'balentine' party on Friday. We went to Target this week to pick out her first 'balentines.' Of course, she went straight for the Disney princess ones that had suckers!!!
Well, I have all hopes to keep up to date on our blog. Until next time...

Elias is 2 months old

Elias is now two months old and growing. Actually I'm a bit behind on my posting...he'll be 10weeks on Wednesday. Behind??? What's new with two kiddos!?!?! :)
Elias continues to be the sweetest of the sweet! He is such a content baby and really only cries when hungry or tired. I say he gets his laid back attitude from his momma, but Blair would probably disagree and say it's him that Eli takes after! Elias is changing daily! He is starting to coo and smile lots. He rolled from tummy to back 3x in a row at 8 weeks. Guess he doesn't like 'tummy time!' He is gaining weight steadily and is starting to get chubby cheeks and those cute little thigh rolls! Oh, how I LOVE chubby babies! Sleep is coming along. We have had fairly consistent nights of atleast 5-6 hr spans. I'll take it! :) Blair and I are definitely taking in the stages more the second time around. Less stress and worries after you've been through it all once with a child. This time around we are more laid back and going with the flow!
I can't believe it's time, but I head back to work this week. It will only be for 2 days and the best part is the kiddos will be under the care of their auntie Kaebra! I am SOOOOO blessed and relieved that the kids will be with family. I hope it will make the transition back to work that much easier!

Clara's 3 years old!

Our little girl is growing up! On Saturday, Nov 21st, she turned 3. I can hardly believe where the time has gone. I feel like it was just yesterday when we were racing to the hospital for the delivery. Although, sad to see her grow up, it's a joy to see her mature into a sweet young gal.

Let me just say that we are totally in the girly girl stage. I thought it would be fun this year to let her pick her 'theme' for the party. We went to Target and she went straight for the Disney Princess plates. She also requested flowers and cupcakes...oh and lots of pink! :) Soooo...this little 3yo got everything she wished for. I made her cupcakes, we had flowers, princess plates and decorated with pink balloons and streamers. Exact words out of Clara's mouth, "oh the decorations look lovely!" Kids say the funniest things! We had a nice celebration with family and Clara enjoyed opening lots of fun gifts! Clara has changed so much lately, especially from her last birthday.
Clara's school also celebrated her bday. They have someone special in the child's life to come read their favorite book. Blair went to her class to read 'The three little bears.' It was adorable watching the kids listen and enjoy Clara's favorite book. Happy Thanksgiving!

A busy fall!

The Lynch family has had a VERY busy fall. It started with the arrival of our little prince, Elias, on 9/30. Since then, we've adjusted to being a family of 4 and have continued to keep busy busy busy! Our first adventure was Halloween! Clara was a pretty princess and Elias was a tiger! Clara was on cloud 9 that she was a princess and got to wear all pink! She is truly all girl these days!

We visited the Indy zoo, which was also a fun adventure. We usually go in the summer, so the fall temps while viewing animals were GREAT! As always Clara loved seeing the animals. We enjoyed the adventure with cousin Isaac and buddy Elijah. Elias spent his first visit to the zoo sleeping the whole time! ;0

In the midst of all this, Blair celebrated his 31st birthday and I celebrated the big '30!' I had a nice relaxing birthday and shared the celebration with twin sis, Kaebra! My parents watched the kids on Friday, which gave us free time to go shopping, get lunch and get a mani/pedi. Ahhh free time...a mother's dream! The next day Blair and James arranged for Kaebra and I to enjoy a massage and to continue our shopping. We ended the evening with a gourmet meal made by our husbands. A menu of Smoked Glazed Salmon on the grill, Potato Casserole, and Almond Crusted Asparagus. Kaeb and I were impressed by our husbands culinary skills! :)

Fall is starting to come to an end. Our next big adventures ahead are Clara's 3rd Birthday and Thanksgiving! We are truly blessed this year and have LOTS to be thankful for!
